McKay Brown 20G Shotgun
A truly unique, and rare, Scottish round-action David Mackay Brown Over & Under 20G shotgun, commissioned to celebrate the 700th anniversary of the Battle of Bannockburn.
This stunning gun is engraved (commissioned by Creative Art in Italy) with a mounted Robert the Bruce holding the war axe with which he split Sir Henry de Bohun’s skull in single combat as a prelude to the battle. Elegant Scottish thistles are carved on the fences and toplever.
The gun is stocked with collectors’-quality walnut, and the serial number is 1314 for the date of the battle. It comes in a lovely original Makers leather case with all the accessories.
It is in excellent condition and handles beautifully. It has been fully serviced prior to sale.
